Song Khoai Industrial Park in Quang Ninh

Song Khoai Industrial Park in Quang Ninh has attracted an additional 115 million USD in foreign direct investment (FDI) thanks to two new projects from Japan. These projects include a project to produce and sell plastic molded components, assemblies and molds undertaken by Tenma Vietnam Co., Ltd., and a mechanical and electrical system project by Yaskawa Vietnam. Both of these projects have just been granted investment certificates, marking an important increase in the amount of FDI capital into this area.

Tenma Vietnam Co., Ltd., with an investment project worth 56 million USD in Song Khoai Industrial Park, Quang Ninh, is expected to complete infrastructure construction and go into operation in the second quarter of 2025. Established in 2007 and starting operations from August 1, 2008, Tenma Vietnam is currently located at Lot E1, Que Vo Industrial Park (Bac Ninh province), specializing in manufacturing plastic components for office equipment, motorbikes, cars and household appliances.

Another project, Yaskawa Vietnam, is under the management of Yaskawa Asia Pacific and is part of the Japanese Yaskawa Group, with a total investment of nearly 59 million USD. It is expected that the entire project will be put into operation in April 2026. Yaskawa is a global corporation, established nearly 100 years ago, with the main field of activity in the production of electric drive products and industrial robots, headquartered in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka, Japan.

This year, the Economic Zone Management Board of Quang Ninh province aims to attract total investment capital into industrial parks of at least 3 billion USD and 55,000 billion VND of domestic investment capital. In addition, there is also a general planning plan for the Quang Yen coastal economic zone. It is expected that revenue from FDI enterprises will reach 3 billion USD, and the estimated contribution to the state budget will reach 850 billion VND.
