Controlling the fire at the Bac Quang Nam Solid Waste Treatment Plant

The garbage collection area of the North Quang Nam Solid Waste Treatment Plant suddenly caught fire, then the fire spread to people's planted forest vegetation.

On the afternoon of April 1, Mr. Le Do Tuan Khuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dai Loc district, Quang Nam province, confirmed that a fire broke out at the North Quang Nam solid waste treatment plant in Hoa An village, Ai Nghia town. waste collection.

According to initial information, the incident occurred around 2:00 p.m. on the same day. The fire from the waste collection area then spread to the vegetation of the acacia forest about 4 to 5 years old that was being prepared for harvest by the people. Receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Department of Quang Nam Provincial Police dispatched two fire trucks to the scene, coordinating with the police force, forest rangers, and local militia to put out the fire.

According to the reporter, the people's acacia forest area behind the factory was filled with white smoke. Outside the factory, many curious people also gathered to watch the incident.

According to Mr. Khuong, the fire in the factory area and the planted forest area has now been controlled. "Currently, the authorities and people are continuing to monitor and promptly detect areas at risk of fires to extinguish fires," Mr. Khuong said, adding that this season, people are still at risk of fires. It hasn't been cleared yet, so there isn't much vegetation yet, so big fires don't happen.

It is known that the North Quang Nam domestic solid waste treatment plant was started on May 21, 2021 on an area of nearly 3.8vha; The design capacity of the first phase is 300 tons/day and night, applying combination technology, recycling and recovery of resources from waste. The factory helps solve the problem of domestic solid waste treatment for Dai Loc, Duy Xuyen, and Dien Ban.
